Julian - Drums

Grew up in a musical family, playing classical concerto to classic rock. He was schooled early on as a child on the piano where he studied the great Mozart and Ludwig Van Beethoven. Later in his teens, he took solid root in rock and roll and took aim at a world of heavily modified organs. One of his favorites is still his Rhodes 73 keyboard. He got his groove emulating the late great John Lord of Deep Purple fame. Julian would take out of his quite impressive vinyl collection circa 1965-1975, some of his favs and play along for hours. This got him into writing shortly there after. His passion for collecting vinyl had him toil around on the drum kit that was also a staple in the home. He was quickly able to make the transition after studying some of his influences. This included John Henry Bonham of Led Zeppelin, Bill Ward of Black Sabbath, Keith Moon of The Who and Don Brewer of Grand Funk Railroad. The thundering sounds that emanate from Julians kit leave you with no mistaking that Black Water Canyon definitely hits you hard, fast and heavy right out of the gate!

Joey - Vocals

Singer songwriter, Joey is a life long family friend of Julian. They co-founded Black Water Canyon after having played together in other projects throughout their lives. Joey comes from a singing family and has an extensive body of work when it comes to writing. Being the youngest growing up at home, he was introduced very early on to the rock legends of the 60s and 70s. Joey has carved out a unique sound on vocals that he cultivated in large part from listening to those singers he has come to know and love. Namely, Ronnie Van Zant of Lynyrd Skynyrd, Paul Rodgers of Free/Bad Company, Steve Marriot of Humble Pie and Mark Farner of Grand Funk Railroad. This, combined with the Italian Opera that could be heard in his home all through his upbringing. All this lends to his comfort on stage and with the genuine passion of how he tells a story. His lyrics always strike a chord with the listener.

Giuliano - Guitar
Came into this band after Julian and Joey branched off from a previous project to form Black Water Canyon.
His natural God given talent and familiarity with the style of music that BWC was looking to create, made him a sure fit anchoring down the guitars and harmonies. His straight up Rock style and Blues influence brings a well rounded flavor to the BWC songs. He has great quick finger work as well as a real delicate touch. He is a dynamic musician in his own right. Coming from the similar backgrounds of a small town, all four members find themselves right at home when working together writing new material.

Paolo - Bass

After losing their bassist and stalwart of the rhythm section, BWC went on the hunt for the fourth piece to complete their debut album. And they found it , Paolo , upon hearing only the live demos, he only had to ask "where do I sign up?". This throwback finds his roots, far exceed his age, as he truly is an old soul. His intuitive nature and willingness to venture down unfamiliar territory has Paolo quickly developing into the fourth pillar, firming up the Black Water Canyon band.
